He listened to Nala… nodding a little as he though. “Yes, perhaps that is so.” He always felt a little apprehensive straying from Mufasa’s law, but he was the king now.. and time were changing. The Pridelands had survived Scar’s threat and was thriving again. “But it’s a way off before we have to make that decision.” Knowing Kopa the thought of even getting married would be met with some sort of eww—cooties reaction at this point.
Kopa stayed quiet as his parents spoke of marriage in his future. It was still a long way off, but it was looming there nonetheless. “Well I’m not ever gonna get married.” he stated as he laid down in a corner of the cave. “I’m the future King of the Pridelands and you can’t make me.” he smirked as he playfully stuck out his tongue before standing up and running over to his father. “Hey Dad! Can we wrestle? We haven’t done that since this morning!” Kopa piped up as he began to crouch to the ground, his tail beginning to waver from side to side in anticipation.
Talk about a nightmare. Anyways the Comcast guys promised they’d come tomorrow to fix it. So tomorrow night I should be on and making my replies.
Speaking of replies…who do I owe again?
//You owe Simba and I :)
Nala laughed as Kopa squirmed to no effect. “Come on now, we have to keep this coat of yours sparkling if we’re going to find you a little girlfriend,” she teased, knowing that the topic of girls would probably gross him out more than the bath and she enjoyed the playful teasing. She winked over at Simba and eventually released Kopa so that he was free to romp around the cave again. “After all, if I remember correctly your father promised that betrothal would be a thing of the past with his reign. Mommy and Daddy aren’t going to arrange a girl for you, you’ll have to find her on your own!” she laughed loudly before swatting up to Simba and tugging at his mane playfully. “Although your father didn’t even follow his own rules as it turned out.”
Once released, the cub shook off his body trying to rid himself of all the spit that his mother might have left behind, just in case.”Girls?!” he repeated as his eyes grew wide. That was seriously the last thing he wanted to do was settle down, and he was still so young too. A sigh escaped him as his mother reassured him that he’d be able to find one eventually on his own. “What’s…betrothal mean?” Kopa asked not knowing the meaning of the word.
Nala raised an eyebrow as the cub made an obviously fabricated story. She couldn’t help but smirk however as he suddenly bolted away. “Better run faster than that if you want to win!” She shouted even though she wasn’t even attempting to chase after him. Instead she turned to Simba and stifled a giggle. “Oh he’s not up to anything. whatever you think he is up to, he’s already done it,” she said as she easily pounced on Simba and pinned him under her on his back. “He’s wearing the same grin you used to wear after we got home from sneaking out, when we thought we had gotten away with it.” she laughed and licked his nose before releasing him and turned toward the cave. “What the real question should be is: how long do we let him think the same?” she shouted over her shoulder back towards Simba before ducking into their cave and smiling at Kopa.
“Come here you.” she growled playfully before scooping him up in her paws. “All of that ‘pouncing and climbing’ -she mimicked his voice and words from his previous explanation- has made your coat absolutely filthy. It’s bath-time mister!” she purred out as she set to work, stopping only to smile as Simba sauntered in behind them. “Do you have any more questions for your son?” she asked with a sly grin, then continued her grooming of Kopa.
Kopa’s body immediately froze in place for only a second or two before he heard the two words that he dreaded the most, bath-time. “Mooom!” he complained as he was scooped up into the queens paws and placed down. The pouty cub turned, or at least tried to, turn onto his back while she was holding him and began to press his hind legs against her chest thinking that it would hopefully create a space between her tongue and his body. “I’m not that dirty.” he said as he leaned his head back to try and move it away from his mother. “Dad! Make Mom stop…please?” he pleaded as he looked up at his father with a desperate look on his face.
Recently I listened to Simple and clean and a flood of nostalgia and feels swept over me.
I cried, bro.
I want to get into KH again, but I feel like I’m returning to a fandom that has already died..
So if you see this could you reblog if you’re a KH fan? Or at least give me proof the fandom still exists, and how large it is? Thanks.
I’m a fan! Replaying KH1 as we speak!
Fan right here :)
((Yay I found it!))
Nala was finishing up her perimeter check when she saw Simba and Kopa up ahead. With a smile she quickly altered her path towards them. “Well if it isn’t my two favorite men in the world!” she chimed in cheerfully. She quickly nuzzled the length of her body under Simba’s chin as she passed him to Kopa. Sitting at Simba’s side she kneeled down so she was eye level with the cub. “Hey there handsome,” she purred and licked his ‘mane’. “What’s got you so out of breath, hm?”
Oh Great Kings above was he gonna be in for it now. “I-uh…” he had to think of something quick. “I..just wanted to beat you home Mom. Surprise!” he laughed as he gave his parents a small yet nervous smile not even really minding that his mother had licked his ‘mane’. Then his father popped the question to which he was probably dreading the most. “What did I do?” he repeated. “Oh, uh just ya know…the normal stuff. Pouncing, climbing, things like that.” he added quickly as he looked up at the sky. “Well, it’s getting late better go to bed now. Night!” he said as he tried to pad off into the cave.
(there you go Nala. :3)
